Personalized, Effective Forehead Enhancement
Dr. Matt Chhatre performs brow lift surgery at his clinic serving Kansas City, as part of his suite of high-quality facial rejuvenation procedures.
As we grow older, our eye brows begin to sag and droop. Fine lines start to develop in the forehead and along the sides of our eyes. Because the face is our primary focal point, these imperfections can be a significant cause of distress and self-consciousness for many people. Brow and forehead lift operations can restore a youthful appearance and peace with long-lasting results and minimal, concealed scarring. Brow Lift Procedures
Depending upon your individual needs, Dr. Chhatre offers two variations of the brow lift. An endoscopic brow lift is considered minimally invasive, requiring only small incisions in the hairline. Using an endoscope, a small straw-like camera, the surgeon detects and removes muscles that cause frown lines. Finally, loose brow skin is tightened to remove forehead wrinkles.
In cases of severely descended or furrowed brows, the surgeon may recommend a bicoronal brow lift. The main difference between this procedure and an endoscopic brow lift is that in addition to the release and weakening of specific muscle groups, excess skin is removed and remaining skin is tightened along an incision across the top of the scalp.
Fundamental healing will take about a week. During your brow lift recovery, you should expect some bruising, though this can be covered with cosmetics until all bruising subsides. It will take several weeks for swelling to fully decrease and for incision lines to refine and fade. A healthy lifestyle and habitual sun protection will help maintain your rejuvenated features.
Risks of Brow Lifts
Though brow lifts are generally safe, it is important to note that all surgical procedures involve some degree of risk. Potential complications of a brow lift procedure include unfavorable scarring, bleeding, infection, poor wound healing, blood clots and persistent pain.
