Why ViPeel
Chemical peels have been around for decades. They offer some of the most amazing skin transformations, however, can sometimes be an uncomfortable process. The ViPeel is the best choice with it’s proprietary blend of ingredients, including the addition of phenol acid. Phenol acts as a numbing agent in the peel, which means you get the amazing results with no discomfort.
There are several options of ViPeel available. After you complimentary skin consultation and assessment with one of our licensed estheticians, Heather or Natalie, they will determine the best option of peel for your skin. ViPeel targets a long list of skin imperfections including, sun damage, melamsa, acne, acne scarring and skin texture. This medium depth peel is safe for all skin types to deliver beautiful results. Treatment Process
Once it’s determined that the ViPeel is appropriate for your skin and concerns, your esthetician will talk with you about the different options. Depending on your skin condition, you may need the precision plus for excessive pigment, purify for active acne or the purify with booster to target both acne and pigment left behind. Natalie or Heather will discuss the process in full detail, take before photos and answer any questions that you have.
The peel application process is one of the easiest on the market. The peel is applied quickly in brisk fast motions with a coarse gauze. This ensures the product penetration and coverage. Once the entire peel is applied, your application process is finished! You will be sent home with a post peel package of products to use for a week following your application. You will leave with a light yellow tint to your skin. With this peel being self neutralizing, there is nothing that you need to do for 4 hours post application.
Post Peel Process
The post procedure kit given at the end of your peel will go over everything you need to know and do following your ViPeel. Your esthetician will discuss all instructions and answer all questions before you leave the MedSpa. Four hours after your peel is applied you will lightly cleanse your face with the provided cleanser. Each kit also contains post peel towelettes used to enhance your peel. These towelettes will vary depending on the type of peel you receive. When using them, don’t be afraid to be a little rough with them. They are meant to boost your experience, the rough movements, specifically in areas of concern will penetrate the ingredients on the towelette. These will be done 2 nights in a row following your peel.
There is also a post peel protectant and a broad spectrum SPF included in each post peel kit. The post peel protectant should be used 2-4 times daily for a total of 2 weeks. This will calm your skin as well as provide protection from any PIH(post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation). The SPF needs to be applied daily and reapplied at minimum every 2 hours. All direct sun exposure should be avoided at all costs for 10-14 days following the peel. All of this combined will ensure you receive the beautiful results you’re looking for.
Your skin will start to feel dry and tight about 24 hours after your peel is applied. Keeping the post peel protectant on will help with discomfort, just don’t over apply. Around 48-72 hours post application the shedding process should begin. We must note- not everyone will have the same shedding process, or visible peeling at all. While this is uncommon, it is completely fine and you will still get the same benefit. The level of shedding will depend on your skin type, health and current cell turnover cycle. The peeling process can take anywhere from 3-5 days with the first day being the most intense. The absolute best part is seeing the beautiful skin being revealed. Do not pick or pull or exfoliate any of the shedding skin off. This process will happen naturally on it’s own to avoid any scarring.
