Laser Resurfacing Kansas City

Age-Defying Laser Skin Treatment

Dr. Matt Chhatre can help patients achieve smoother, clearer skin through laser resurfacing at his clinic serving  Kansas City and nearby communities.

Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing is a new technology which can successfully treat a variety of skin conditions such as fine wrinkles, acne scars, sun damage, pore size, and overall skin health and appearance. By accelerating your body’s collagen production, this 30-minute process rejuvenates your skin and gives you stunning results after very little downtime. To find out how laser resurfacing can benefit you, contact our office serving the greater Kansas City area today.

The Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing Process

Though CO2 laser resurfacing has been in practice several years, fractional C02 laser resurfacing is a very new process that is considered a major breakthrough in cosmetic skin treatment. Both operate on the same principal: a high-energy beam of CO2 vaporizes lines, wrinkles, scars, dark spots and other blemishes layer by layer. Meanwhile, the heat stimulates the formation of new collagen to provide improved elasticity and support for the skin. But fractional C02 laser resurfacing uses much tinier laser beams, so only a fraction of the skin must heal, helping you enjoy faster results. You can expect your surgeon to administer a topical anesthetic to make the process as comfortable as possible for you.

After the procedure you can expect to have some redness and swelling for a few days.  It is safe to wear a mineral makeup after three days.  You will also be seen back in the office after three days for a checkup and to meet with licensed esthetician Keri Eichhorn to talk about post-procedure products you will need to maintain the results. She will also explain your mineral cosmetics options.

The Risks of Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing

Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing is considered very safe, but patients should know that any procedure of this kind involves at least a small degree of risk. In rare cases, long-lasting discolored spots, as well as scarring, are possible complications.
