Micropeel & Obagi Peel
Serving Kansas City & Lee's Summit, Missouri
When we are young, our skin looks fresh because it is. The skin is constantly renewing itself with new cells, with old skin cells wearing away. As we age, this process slows down, and as cells are damaged by years of exposure to the sun and skin conditions such as acne, can damage the skin, obscuring clarity, tone, color, and texture. Dr. Chhatre's skin care licensed esthetician, Keri can treat these conditions by using a procedure called Micropeel or Obagi peel.
Like microdermabrasion, a micropeel hastens the process of skin shedding and replacement. A micro-thin top layer of the skin is removed, less than in microdermabrasion, but often enough to see significant cosmetic improvement. The outer layer of skin includes clogged pores that obstruct the development of healthy, beautiful skin. With each additional Micropeel procedure, you will notice incremental improvements in the overall appearance of your skin.
The Obagi peel is a one to four step application of Obagi's patented Blue Base solution mixed with TCA (Trichloracetic Acid). These applications removes the thin surface layers of aged and damaged skin. Layers of dead skin cells will then be replaced by healthier ones allowing the skin's own clarity and tightness to resurface.
