The MicroLaser Peel removes a very thin layer of damaged skin, which improves skin texture to provide a more even skin tone revealing more youthful looking skin. This procedure provides superior results and can be custom tailored to specific skin conditions, desired outcome and available down time. If you are in the Kansas City area, contact our highly qualified Esthetician for a complimentary skin analysis to determine if the MicroLaser peel is right for you.
How does the MicroLaser Peel work?
The MicroLaser Peel's laser beam is scanned over the treatment area to remove a thin layer of skin. By removing the top layer of skin it eliminates some of the damaged skin cells that give the skin a tired, aged look. As the skin heals, new fresh cells grow and resurface the treated area, revealing reduced wrinkles and a more even complexion. Excellent results can be seen with just one MicroLaser Peel treatment, however, the number of treatments needed can depend on the specific skin conditions and desired results. Kansas City skin care specialist, Keri Eichhorn, can help you determine a proper treatment plan for your skin.
What skin conditions does the MicroLaser Peel treat?
The MicroLaser Peel treats many skin conditions. It is the perfect treatment for anyone wanting a deeper exfoliation and better results than a microdermabrasion or chemical peel, but aren't wanting a deep laser resurfacing. The treatment treats fine lines and mild wrinkles, scarring, sun damage and pigment irregularities. This procedure can treat these conditions on most areas of the body, with the most popular areas being the face, neck, chest and hands. Meeting with our Licensed Esthetician, Keri, will help you determine which procedure(s) will best benefit you.
What should I expect the day of the treatment?
The day of the MicroLaser Peel, you will come in to the office and Keri will cleanse your skin and apply a topical anesthetic. Once the anesthetic is removed the procedure is very quick and comfortable. Immediately after the treatment the skin may have a frosted appearance, which is dehydrated skin that will be peeling away within a few days. The skin may also be red and have a slight sunburn feeling with possible mild swelling for a day or two. Keri will go over all post procedure instructions with you to help the healing process go smoothly.
