What is Tumescent Liposuction?
Tumescent liposuction uses a solution of saline and anesthetic that is injected into the area you wish to be treated. The saline in the solution causes the fatty tissue to become firm and swollen creating a more controlled removal of the fat and also keeps the blood loss to a negligible amount. The anesthetic in the solution is there for your comfort. Liposuction can be performed on many areas of the body including:

What should I expect after Liposuction surgery?
The anesthetic in the injected solution will remain in the tissue for several hours following the liposuction procedure. This local anesthetic significantly reduces the post-operative pain. You will be encouraged to walk relatively soon after the procedure to help enhance the healing process. You will be able to return to work in a few days. Any job that is physically challenging will require more time for healing before you can return.
