This is an outpatient procedure, requiring topical and local anesthetic with no down time. Both Restylane and Perlane are made of hyaluronic acid, a substance that already exists in the human body. This means that there is almost no risk of the body having a negative reaction to the injections. The results of Restylane or Perlane fill treatment are immediate but are temporary. Results of Perlane tend to last longer.
Very occasionally, Dr. Chhatre can also perform your lip augmentation by using implants. This is a surgical procedure, which involves downtime. But the results are permanent. At your consultation, Dr. Chhatre can discuss with you, as to which option might be better suited to your needs.
